What is danmachi manga?

Danmachi (short for "Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka", also known as "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?") is a Japanese light novel series written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. The manga adaptation of the series is illustrated by Kunieda, and has been serialized since January 2013 in Square Enix's Monthly GFantasy magazine.

The story follows Bell Cranel, a young adventurer in the city of Orario who dreams of becoming the greatest adventurer in the world. He joins the ranks of other adventurers in the dangerous underground labyrinth known as the Dungeon, where he hopes to level up and gain wealth and fame. However, Bell's dreams are put to the test when he teams up with a powerful goddess named Hestia, who is also in love with him. Together, they face powerful foes and navigate the complex social hierarchies of the adventurer community.
